Women of Wisdom (WOW) is starting up a new Food Pantry partnership with the Heights Helping Hands Group. They are a local group of neighbors helping neighbors here in the Northeast Heights. Please see their website for more info heightshelpinghands.square.site.
          We will be providing a place to package and distribute the Blessing Boxes that they provide, as well as receive donations of food.
          On Tuesday March 10th the WOW group is looking for volunteers to help package the Blessing Boxes that will be distributed to food insecure people in the Heights (individuals and families). We are also asking for donations of food for the boxes, if you are unable to volunteer that day (Please see their website for a list of food they would like donated). You can also donate financially directly on their website, and they buy the food in bulk that we will be packaging for the boxes.
The schedule in our CommUnity Room on March 10th is as follows:
10am - Noon Receive donations and start packaging boxes
Noon - 3:00pm Package food and complete the Blessing Boxes
3:00pm - 6:00pm Distribute boxes to people in our parking lot
Volunteers can come any of these times to help out for an hour or longer, whatever your schedule allows. The Heights Helping Hands volunteers have a list of people currently receiving Blessing Boxes, but anyone in our community who has a need can also receive one that afternoon. They usually distribute between 100 - 150 Blessing Boxes a month.
