Unity Spiritual Center Welcomes Rev Geo Downer Associate Minister - Adult Education
Unity Spiritual Center is pleased to welcome Rev. Geo Downer as our Associate Minister for Adult Education! As many of you know, Rev. Geo is a longtime friend and former member of USC. Rev. Geo will be offering ongoing educational opportunities via Zoom and is creating an SEE Intensive week for 2025 at Unity Spiritual Center. He will also be coordinating other adult education opportunities at USCABQ.
Rev. Geo Downer Biography -
“Rev Geo (no dot, no period, world without end) first discovered Unity’s teachings at Unity Spiritual Center in Albuquerque, NM, where he faced recurring assertions to expand his spiritual life. Unity’s practical spirituality gave Rev Geo a place to heal old Christian wounds, address bodily healing, and explore new ways of experiencing the divine in everyday life. Rev Geo served at Unity Windward in Kaneohe, HI beginning in 2011, and he was ordained in 2017. Unity’s teachings remain a practice of passion and celebration in life. He serves remotely in his NM home church while living in Kailua, HI. He anticipates his next calling while being fully committed to guidance by Spirit.
Through Unity, Rev Geo embraces a flexible spirituality uncommon in traditional organized religion. He envisions spiritual community beyond the boundaries and limitations of what was once known as “church.” The transformative power of God is present in all of life, and can best be realized through the principles of diversity, inclusivity, and Oneness.”
