Earth day was a few days ago and the EarthCare Team is providing an opportunity for us to make a commitment to the care of our Earth. Below our EarthCare Covenant is printed, so you can review it and decide to make a commitment to it. You can express that commitment on May 11 by signing a card with the Covenant printed on it.
But who wants to commit to something that feels futile So the EarthCare Team will be sharing some of the Good News about sustainability after service the previous week, May 4. Unity believes we get more of what we focus on, and unless you seek it out, you probably only hear about the doom and gloom around Climate Change and sustainability. Come be inspired after the May 4 service (11:45 am)!
USCABQ EARTHCARE COVENANT
Our consciousness reveals that all of creation is connected as one. The story of creation reveals that we are to be good caregivers of the creation. As a people of faith, we commit to a renewed reverence for life and respect for the interdependent web of all existence.
We honor our spiritual commitment to the care, support and defense of the balance between our individual needs and those of nature.
We honor a world in which everything has intrinsic value and where all beings are assured a secure and meaningful life that is ecologically responsible and sustainable.
