WATER COLOR CLASS WITH CONNIE LEVSON

Details
Basics of Painting Realistic Crystal with Watercolors

Do you like to paint? Do you enjoy discussions and sharing of knowledge and painting experiences?
Have you ever looked at a painting of crystal or silver and wondered how the artist achieved the affect? The class will be FUN (like everything at Unity Spiritual Center) while covering the basic techniques of painting crystal/glass. The following will be covered and discussed:

1.       Colors
2.       Value
3.       Subject
4.       Using Reference Photos
5.       Techniques of layering Paint
6.       Using Masking Fluid

The class will meet once a week on Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 3:30 pm for four (4) weeks, starting January 15, 2025. During that time students will complete one or more paintings. For the first painting you will provided with a sample of the instructor's work to follow. After that you will decide what you want to paint. This is a painting class, not a drawing class. You will be provided with a sample to trace for the first painting;

The class will be on a love offering basis, 100% of donations go to Unity Spiritual Center.

INSTRUCTOR
Connie Levsen moved to Albuquerque from Fort Worth, TX in 2023. In Fort Worth she studied with Soon Warren, an internationally known watercolor artist and teacher, for about eight years. Connie was a member of several artist groups in Fort Worth, had two solo gallery shows plus showing at Your Private Collect Gallery.

Since moving to Albuquerque Connie became a member of New Mexico Watercolor Society and New Mexico Art League. Her work has been selected for three )uried shows in Albuquerque within the last year.

Connie says she's never taught watercolor painting, but loves painting and being with like-minded people. Come along and join the group.
