Dear Unity Family,
As we are now in the new year, we realize that now is the time to make a “Fresh Start”. Regardless of what may be going on in the world around us, we can enter into a more abundant life right now!
What does it mean to make a fresh start? It means we cease allowing external circumstance to determine the quality of life, we stand in the moment and make the shift to what it is that we desire. The Bible reminds us of this profound truth in 2 Corinthians 5:17:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" This verse speaks to the transformational power of spirit. To be in alignment with the divine is to recognize that every moment holds the potential for renewal. We are not tethered to yesterday’s mistakes or tomorrow’s uncertainties.
Thich Nhat Hanh, a renowned Zen master, said:
"Every moment is a fresh beginning. Be fully present in the here and now, and you will discover freedom."
These teachings from Christianity and Buddhism converge on a fundamental truth: The ability to start fresh isn’t tied to time or circumstance. It is tied to our awareness and willingness to let go.
In this three-week series, “A Fresh Start”, we will discover how to;
Begin Again with the Power of Now
Create From Within
Walk With Spirit
And don’t forget, you will have the opportunity to have a deeper interpersonal exploration of these topics on Sunday evenings at SoulShare. For this will be a chance to share and learn from one another how to use the lessons offered on Sunday mornings.
