Part 3 of lesson series, "What We Believe" this Sunday: What We Believe - Our Core Values.
This Sunday, we conclude our series "What We Believe" by exploring our Core Values. In the rich tapestry of human experience, there exists a deep longing for connection, belonging, and spiritual fulfillment. Within the Unity framework, these aspirations find their fullest expression—a journey that intertwines the sacred and the communal, rooted in Christ-centered values of love, inclusivity, joy, upliftment, open-mindedness, and fun. Therefore, our core values statement is: "We are Christ-centered, loving, inclusive, joyous, uplifting, open-minded, and fun!"
Here at Unity Spiritual Center, we honor the Christ consciousness within each individual and strive to embody it in our daily lives. We practice inclusivity, understanding that in God and Unity, no one is excluded. As we center ourselves in our hearts, we discover a profound Joy that transcends mere happiness. We uplift not only one another but also ourselves, fostering growth and positivity. In Unity, we maintain open minds, emphasizing teaching people how to think rather than telling them what to think. And finally, we embrace fun as a natural expression of our joyous spirits. Human beings are inherently fun-loving, and reclaiming this joy enriches our journey of life and growth.
As Charles Fillmore wisely noted, "We are children of the Most High and should therefore claim our divine inheritance and practice it." Our divine inheritance is an abundance of all good things. By discovering these qualities within us, we empower others to do the same.
