Please join us for Sunday Service at 10:00 am in person and on FaceBook Live, lesson by Rev.Gordon Keyler, music with Todd Lowry and the USCABQ Music Team, Brian Griesmeyer & Sharon Eldridge. Also special music guest soloists.
SUNDAY, Sept. 8, Michael Small presents the lesson, continuing with the 12 Powers movie festival, the movie discussed is, UP.
This week's lesson is all about balloons and the theme of letting go. One of my favorite songs from the 70s, "Up, Up and Away," captures that light, uplifting feeling. Though the song isn’t about release, it still resonates as a great anthem when you're ready to soar, explore new heights, and perhaps even find love—it shows you the way.
As for this week's movie, "UP," it features plenty of balloons, a talking dog and a lot of adventure; but at its core, it's a love story about loss and, most importantly, letting go. The power of release is central to this journey, and as you look at the bigger picture, you’ll see how essential it is to let go to make room for the greater good that’s waiting to come into your life.
Letting go is crucial for creating space for new things, yet it can be one of the hardest things to do. However, it’s a powerful spiritual act that paves the way for transformation and growth.
